The following three examples illustrate how the same neutral causation method can produce different conclusions when applied to different diagnoses, exposures, and bodies of evidence. That is not a weakness of the method; it is the purpose of the method. A scientifically structured analysis should not predictably favor relatedness, non-relatedness, or apportionment. Instead, it should follow the evidence wherever it leads — sometimes supporting work-relatedness, sometimes failing to support it, and sometimes leaving the question unresolved. These examples demonstrate how the same framework can be applied consistently while producing different, evidence-dependent conclusions.
